Duke Marketing is working with Chevys Fresh Mex again in 2011, handling public relations for the brand and their sister brand, El Torito. Duke Marketing has garnered national media attention with the fundraiser for a injured baseball fan at Chevys locations in San Francisco and their new shrimp promotion.
Duke Marketing managed the re-opening of Chevys San Leandro, CA location with a full integrated marketing communications plan. Public relations, promotions, direct mail, advertising, a fundraiser and giant fiesta took place to garner awareness, raise money for the Boys & Girls Club and drive sales to the relocated Chevys location.
Duke Marketing took sombreros around the community the days leading up to the event to draw attention, and the giant fiesta offered a tortilla toss for the Boy & Girls Club kids to have a fun way to win prizes and raise money. Face painting, piñata breaking and free chips & salsa attracted over 600 people to attend and over $5,000 was raised.
Duke Marketing handled all corporate communications and public relations for the 173 unit Mexican Restaurant chain. Duke Marketing revised the press materials and managed several national news announcements.
Duke Marketing provided food photography of the new menu items for Chevys. They incorporated the new photos in their direct mailer, their menus and their print advertising.

Cinco de Mayo was a big hit with the TV stations. Duke marketing secured a 7 minute special news segment on Channel 31's Good Day Sacramento show.
Duke Marketing has procured numerous press for Chevys since 2001. We helped Chevys to be voted Best Mexican, Choice in Chains, by Restaurants & Institutions March 2002 and an interview with Jim Vandercook with the Marin Independent Journal, March 2002
Duke Marketing worked with Chevys to develop a test concept, a store of the future. We provided strategic planning, messaging and created press materials to announce the test store and menu. Over 15 menu items were tested and new operations procedures, table set-ups, décor and uniforms.
Duke Marketing designed and placed print advertising using photos from the photo shoot we directed of the new menu items.
The public relations efforts included securing a live morning news show broadcast from the test store. 5 segments were done that included making the new menu items on air.
